The Nigerian Embassy in Doha offers various consular services in accordance with The Nigerian immigration services to meet the needs of its citizen living in Qatar. Among the services, below are list of  requirement for common consular service.

OPENING HOURS OF THE CONSULAR AND PASSPORT SECTIONS
Please be informed that due to the need to re-organize operations for better service, the Opening Hours of the Consular, Passport and Visa sections of the Embassy of Nigeria in Doha will be as follows,

The Consular, Passport and Visa Sections of the Embassy are closed on  weekends, Nigerian and Qatar Public Holidays.

  1. Residence Permit in Qatar
  2. Valid Nigerian Passport
  3. Formal application letter addressed to the Consul, Embassy of Nigeria, Qatar.
  4. Originals and photocopies of translated documents
  5. Payment of prescribed fees at the Embassy by credit card (CB)
  6. Document for legalization must be translated and endorsed by a Certified Translator
  7. Authentication at the Consular Section – Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja
  1. Residence Permit in Qatar
  2. Valid Nigerian Passport
  3. Two passport-sized photographs
  4. Formal application letter addressed to the Consul, Embassy of Nigeria, Qatar.
  5. Payment of prescribed fees at the Embassy by credit card (CB)
  6. Attestation at the Consular Section – Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja
  1. Formal request letter for the Emergency Travel Certificate by the applicant.  Include your current address and telephone number, please.

  2. Expired  Nigerian Passport (to be sighted and returned to owner), As well as a copy of passport bio data page.

  3. For a lost passport, please include a police report as well as data page of lost  Nigeria passport (if applicable).

  4. passport-size photographs.

  5. Copy of itinerary or airline ticket.

  6. $150.00 in money order payable to the Embassy of Nigeria, Doha, Qatar.

    NOTE: The Travel Document is valid for 30 days only and cannot be used to return to the Qatar  (one way journey)Allow 7 working days for processing time. Also, drop off and collection of documents from Sunday through Thursday between hours of 11:00am to 12:30pm.

  1. Formal application letter addressed to the Consul, Embassy of Nigeria, Qatar, indicating contacts in Nigeria and description of Products
  2. Original and Photocopies of documents in Arabic and English languages and stamped by Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar.
  1. Burial Transit Permit.
  2. Certification of Embalming & Preparation of Human Remains.
  3. Notarized statement of the Funeral Director (stating that the casket contains only the remains of the deceased and nothing else).
  4. Medical Examiner’s Report (if applicable) if the deceased was killed.
  5. Notarized copy of Death Certificate.
  6. Certification of Vital Record regarding communicable/non communicable disease(s) – [this is to state whether or not the deceased had contagious disease.  If so, the type of disease should be stated in this document].
  7. US$15.00 money order (payable to the Embassy of Nigeria) as Attestation Fee.
  8. Nigerian Passport of the Deceased (in case passport is not available, the closest relative should send a notarized letter stating same).
  9. A waiver letter for the repatriation of human remains from the Federal Ministry of Health in Abuja, Nigeria.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. complete online Consular Application Form available at the  here.
  2. Two (2) passport photographs
  3. Nigerian Passport
  4. Qatar Residence permit.
  5. Evidence of registration as a Nigerian with the Embassy 
  6. Any other condition as may from time to time be introduced.
